Urbanites have come to know Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City as the hottest destination for unique food finds and al fresco activities in the metro due to its Greenfield Weekend Market.
Now, suburban dwellers south of Metro Manila have a chance to experience this market scene as Greenfield Development Corp. brings the event to its 400-hectare masterplanned township Greenfield City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Dubbed the Greenfield City Weekend Market, it is seen to change the way southerners spend leisure time with their family and friends, according to Atty. Duane A.X. Santos, Greenfield EVP and GM.
“The nature-rich environment of Greenfield City will take our weekend market experience to the next level,” said Santos.
Visitors can expect the same mix of one-of-a-kind food and retail tenants, but now in a more spacious and airy outdoor venue. The main thoroughfare of Laguna Boulevard in Greenfield City will be closed to create a street market feel, where sidewalks will be lined with tents and numerous seating areas for patrons.

“In a nod to Greenfield City’s southern location, we will showcase what Laguna is known for in the tenant mix,” added Santos. These will include the province’s unique finds hailing from its culture-rich cities and municipalities, like specialty delicacies, handcrafted footwear, embroidered apparel and textile, wood carvings, decorative plants and more.
Greenfield City is a pioneering community that jumpstarted growth in Sta. Rosa, Laguna as early as in the late 1990s. Its unique, holistic masterplan makes it a self-sustaining city center outside of Metro Manila.
